Named after the bright wash of red and pink light that falls on the peak of mountains before sunrise or sunset, Trampled by Turtles' tenth album, Alpenglow, invokes the same sense of beauty. The six-person band brings together the sounds of folk, rock-and-roll, blues and so much more across the album's tracks. Produced by Jeff Tweedy and recorded in his studio without special effects, Trampled by Turtles' Dave Simonett shared about the recording process, “It’s scarier to record that way now, since it’s easy to fix everything or record everything separately so you can hear it all perfectly. But for me, it’s so much fun to just stick a few mics up and play. That’s where we’re at our best.”
Limited to 1,000 copies, the VMP exclusive of Trampled by Turtles' Alpenglow is pressed on 1LP Goldfish vinyl at Gotta Groove Records. The record will arrive in a gatefold direct-to-board, foil stamped and numbered jacket.
