Recorded two years after Oh, Inverted World turned them into indie-rock darlings, the Shins made Chutes Too Narrow, an album that doubled down on the Brian Wilson-isms of their debut, but expanded them like that scene in Wizard of Oz where everything is in color suddenly. They would go from indie rock darlings working day jobs to capital the The Shins shortly after this album, when they were featured heavily in a McDonald's ad and in Zach Braff's Garden State. Buy this and remember 2003 as you lounge about to "Kissing the Lipless."

Due to COVID-19 and its impact on manufacturing, we are experiencing pre-order delays more frequently. We’ll keep the estimated ship months as up to date as possible, but please be advised.
If you have multiple products in your order, you can choose the ‘Direct Ship’ option to receive products as they become available in multiple shipments. Otherwise, they will be grouped in a single shipment (or your next ROTM shipment for members) after all products are received at our warehouse.
Since pre-order albums are not available to ship until the manufacturing completes, the actual ship date can shift. If there is a delay, we will always contact you.
