Description

Tim Showalter began the Strand of Oaks project in 2003. The rock singer and songwriter is joined by Kevin Ratterman and a lineup of other musicians and artists making appearances on the album. Releasing the single “Galacticana” ahead of the album’s debut, Showalter sings a sincere score of hope. Showalter recorded the album during the COVID-19 pandemic, opting to channel a message of optimism amid a time of crisis. In Heaven brushes against the moments of grief and joy, and the moments of weakness and strength. Showalter shared his thoughts on the LP, and said, “In Heaven was created with so much love and my greatest hope is that it connects with people and provides a momentary space for reflection, joy, catharsis and whatever else someone might be looking for in their life. Music is magic and I feel like the luckiest person in the world that I'm allowed to share it."
