Steve Earle and his band celebrate the life of Jerry Jeff Walker, who passed away in 2021, with a record featuring 10 covers of Walker's songs. The album follows the 2009 TOWNES and 2019 GUY, which celebrated Townes Van Zandt and Guy Clark respectively.
Earle shared, “There’s a tendency to think of Jerry Jeff around a relationship to one son. He was also such a great interpreter of other people’s songs. But my main purpose in recording this album was to remind people that he wrote a lot of fucking great songs.”
