While saxophonist Rudolph Johnson never quite achieved the same mainstream success and recognition as others during the time period, his talent is reminiscent of John Coltrane, who he is often considered to be the heir to. Joined by Kirk Lightsey (keyboard) and produced by Gene Russell, The Second Coming demonstrates Johnson's improvisational aptitude.

The record will arrive in a single direct-to-board, foil stamped and hand numbered jacket and includes a two-page insert. The reissue is mastered by Mike Milchner of Sonic Vision Mastering.
