Following her wayfaring lifestyle and settling into the beach shack in Cape Cod amid the summer of 2020, Courtney Marie Andrews turned inwards for reflection during long walks and creative moments of poetry and art. This introspection led to her journey of joy and love, setting the groundwork for the album that would become Loose Future and pivoting away from the heartbreak that led her previous album, Old Flowers.
Recorded at Sam Evian's Flying Cloud Studios, Loose Future also marks a period of deep collaboration alongside Josh Kaufman (Bonny Lighthorseman), Chris Bear (Grizzly Bear) and Sam Owen (Sam Evian).
