Cecil Taylor’s playing is that of a free spirit. Recorded in 1974, Taylor’s live piano performance at the Montreux Jazz Festival has since been revered as legendary. He executes his five-movement work Silent Tongues, as well as two additional encores. This album includes “Abyss,” “Petals & Filaments,” “Crossing,” “Jitney No. 2” and “After All No. 2.”
