Its extremely loose concept depicts RZA as a comic book anti-hero who drives around in a bulletproof Digimobile, an externalized id that shows little regard for manners, foes or anything resembling consequences. While 36 Chambers and the subsequent solo Wu-Tang albums made liberal use of audio from samurai and kung-fu films, Bobby Digital recalls the American exploitation films of the 1970s: self-consciously middlebrow, yet rigorously engaging, bright and vile and banned from TV.
