在2005年，Rostam Batmanglij（Vampire Weekend的共同創辦人及製作人）和Wes Miles（Ra Ra Riot的主唱）開始了這個合作電子音樂專案，之後成立了Discovery。這兩人於2009年發行了該團體唯一的出道專輯，名為LP。這張專輯還邀請了Angel Deradoorian（Dirty Projectors）和Ezra Koenig（Vampire Weekend）參與演唱。
