Description

Wilma Vritra is the transatlantic work of the duo Wilma Archer and VRITRA. The former is known for his work with artists like Celeste, Nilüfer Yanya and Jessie Ware, and his debut solo album featured contributions from MF DOOM, Future Islands’ Samuel T Herring, Sudan Archives and Laura Grove. Meanwhile, VRITRA is a rapper based in Los Angeles whose work is often in conversation with spiritual and cosmic themes, which carries into the pair's work.

Following their debut album as Wilma Vritra in 2019, they are here with a second album titled Grotto. The powerful album hauls references to faith, mythology and cosmos alongside themes of self-preservation and refuge from the world. Even in the album image, a work by Californian street artist Swampy, underscores the message and journey throughout Grotto.

This VMP exclusive record is foil-stamped and numbered, and comes on a standard weight 1LP Blue with Red Marble vinyl.
