Vagabon's 2017 debut, 'Infinite Worlds,' was a DIY breakthrough, an album that played with the foundation of indie rock in unexpected ways -- acoustic guitars giving way to programmed beats, howling guitar heroics backed with sweet vocals. It should surprise no one that self-titled 'Vagabon' builds upon that style, but also blows it up to widescreen; this is an artistic leap forward in every sense of the word, the kind you'd think Vagabon might make in three albums, not with her sophomore album. This will hit many year end lists once it's finally released. Lead single "Flood" is out now.
