The 12-track album cycles through a 24-hour period, beginning at 7am. Each piece is designed to reflect aspects of the time it's representing, from sunrise to dusk, moonset to blue hour. The earthy, hypnotic project features collaborators Hrishikesh Hirway (host of Song Exploder), Taylor Swift collaborator-John Mark Nelson and Tancred (founding member of Now, Now).

Opening is a transcendent collaboration between the sonic masterminds of the ambient duo, Superposition, and the soul-stirring voice of Rotana. This record manifests as a poignant collection of prayers, meditations and chants of Allah’s 99 divine names, crafted and articulated by Rotana in her native tongue of Arabic, and brought to life through the evocative production of Superposition.

Heart And Breath: Rhythm And Tone Fields was conceived of and created by multi-instrumentalist and composer Richard Reed Parry of Arcade Fire and world renowned percussionist and composer Susie Ibarra. Parry and Ibarra created an album of time-based pieces by focusing their attention and awareness on the rhythm and tone of their breath and heartbeats, using their pulse to inform the rhythm of their metronome. The compositions that emerged are hypnotic fields of sound that seem to float suspended in time and space, unfolding gently in a manner that is at once intimate and expansive, and which connects the listener to their own most primal, internal body rhythms.
