Mengapa Anda akan menyukainya...
For a label known widely for its support of back-to-basics rock and americana, Nonesuch was also vitally important in the story of electronic music. In 1967, Nonesuch commissioned this album, by composer Morton Subotnick, as a way to showcase a radical new instrument known as the Buchla synthesizer. Subotnick had helped develop the Buchla, and as such, was probably the only person on earth at this point who was qualified to make an entire album using it. Silver Apples of the Moon became the first ever electronic album paid for by a major label, and was the first full-length album made using an analog synthesizer, which would obviously pave the way for all electronic music and dance music to follow in its wake. It’s a trippy, spaced-out album that somehow still sounds ahead of its time.
