Their debut solo project, Root Cause, came together over their time at Berklee and is the result of them grappling with the kind of performance anxiety and identity issues that plague most college students. Root Cause wraps all of Reed’s insecurities, aspirations, and familia history in musical cloth worthy of their lineage. Their vision has culminated into a project that’s both intimate and loud, expansive and singular, greater and braver than the sum of its parts.
Limited to 500 copies, the VMP exclusive version of Cleo Reed's Root Cause is pressed on Black & White A-Side/B-Side vinyl at GZ Vinyl. The 1LP will arrive in a double gatefold, direct-to-board, numbered jacket.
