Description

Project Traction is a mentorship program that helps women and nonbinary musicians gain traction in the audio production field.
Numerous studies have shown that the representation of women in audio production is less than 10% while others say it could be lower than 3%.
Founded out of frustration over this lack of gender equality, Project Traction is on a mission to change the statistics and help close the gap in the record industry. Started by Spoon drummer Jim Eno out of Public Hi-Fi studio in Austin, Texas, Project Traction’s first compilation is six songs that give opportunity, and well, traction, to women and nonbinary artists.
VMP partnered with Project Traction on this release to amplify this release, and this issue. You can get one of 350 copies now.
