The original four songs on the How EP “bubbled up” to the surface as Geneviève Beaudoin worked on a different full-length Dead Gowns record in 2021. But the songs deserved their own release.
The Vinyl Me, Please edition of the How EP includes seven tracks – including three new ones recorded outside of the original sessions – ranging from guitar-charged rock tunes to introspective synth ballads that slowly build with orchestral swells. Each song carries through the same thread: dealing with change while coming to terms with the past, and explores depths of emotions that tap into envy, illness, new life and ultimately, hope.
