Back to the Woodlands is a collection of archived recordings by Ernest Hood, jazz guitarist and ambient pioneer, recorded around the same period Hood's celebrated Neighbors was recorded and released. Along with the release of the track "Bedroom of the Absent Child" Freedom to Spend and Hood's Estate have also shared a new music video for the Back to the Woodlands song, directed by Contagious Yawns, the video features grainy shots of various landscapes with ghostly cars and figures fading in and out of frame.
Limited to 300 copies the VMP exclusive edition of Ernest Hood's Back to the Woodlands is pressed on Cloudy Blue vinyl at Viryl Technologies. The 1 LP will arrive in a single, tip-on, foil-stamped and numbered jacket with a download code. It was mastered by Jessica Thompson at Jessica Thompson Audio.
